Fujitsu Japan has launched the USB flash drive that can destruct stored data automatically within a given time frame (you can choose any time limits from 10 minutes to one week).
Dubbed as the Tamatebako, the device will delete the stored data when the drive’s being accessed with the wrong password. The Fujitsu Tamatebako also encrypts data via AES 256bit.
For your info, the “Tamatebako” literally means “treasure box” in Japanese. Measuring 70mm x 70mm x 24mm and weighing at around 45grams, the gadget comes with a 2GB of storage space (1.86GB are actually usable). Too bad, there is no info on pricing at this time.

The ViewSonic VMP70 supports a wide variety of video and audio formats including MPEG1/2/4, DivX/Xvid, H.264, VC1, RM/RMVB, WMA, MP3, DTS, Dolby digital, OGG, and AAC. The ViewSonic VMP70 media player box retails for $99.
Hong Kong-based Hi-Den Vision has recently introduced the HD-0311 that is claimed to be the world’s smallest HDMI Hi-Def Photo Player.
The HD-0311 allows playback of the photos on an HDTV at up to 1080p HDMI resolution, and it also lets the user use the remote control to customize the viewing of the photos.
The device is also capable of playing music and video clips.

Philips has unveiled their latest candybar phone namely the Philips X550 that features an impressive battery lifetime up to one month in stand-by mode.
However, this new handset doesn’t have any 3G connectivity, instead it only relies on GPRS and EDGE for data transfers, so it might probably be sold only in China and Eastern Europe.
So here’s the rest of the specs, a QVGA display with 262k colors, a 3.2MP autofocus camera, a microSD card slot (up to 8GB), an FM radio with RDS and Bluetooth connectivity.

The Cowon S9 32GB portable media player is now available at Amazon.com for only $299 a pop.
Available only in titanium black, the player features a 3.2-inch AMOLED display with 16 million color support at 480 x 272 resolution, Bluetooth connectivity, an integrated voice recorder with internal microphone, a built-in FM radio and TV out.
Its battery provides up to 11 hours of video playback or 55 hours of audio playback on a full charge.
